    • Unappreciated volunteer work for a large amount of time

    • Determine who you are and where you are going

    • Where do you want to be in five years or ten?

    • Be flexible to change

    • Strategic Plan broken down in one-year increments discussing goals to accomplish, action items, and realistic timelines


Program Development

    • Develop a program to meet your organization’s purpose with measurable outcomes

    • The program should fall in line with your Mission Statement and Strategic Plan


Management Systems

    • Review bylaws and tweak when necessary


Define Your Ideal Donor

    • Who is most likely to give to your organization? Individuals, grants, businesses, etc.


Website and Social Media

    • You need a professional looking website and social media in order to attract the donors identified in step six


Fundraising/Marketing Systems

    • How will you communicate with your donors? Accept donations? IRS updates?
